Hi, I’m Summer—

I’m a Thai American oil painter based in Atlanta. My work focuses on small moments that help us understand ourselves a little more—what shapes us, comforts us, challenges us, or quietly stays with us.

I paint moments that often sit in the background of everyday life: reminiscing on a wish that came true, believing people enter your life for a reason, feeling confident when you’re with a certain person, recognizing the moments you didn’t realize were rare. I’m especially interested in the things we don’t fully recognize until time has passed.

Sometimes that reflection comes with tenderness, and sometimes with humor, smiling at how entirely human these moments are. I’m drawn to the innocent mistakes, the big emotions, and the quiet misunderstandings that only make sense in hindsight. Through slow, layered oil painting, I give space to these moments and the versions of myself they come from. My work is about reflection, growth, and offering grace to ourselves as we learn, live, and continue becoming (as we always are).
